Privacy Policy

ClearMeet is a macOS application operated by Graure Elena Carmen. This policy explains how ClearMeet handles information when you use the app and connect a Zoom account.

Short version: ClearMeet does not operate a server that receives your recordings, notes, Zoom tokens or meeting data. The app communicates directly with Zoom and stores app data locally on your Mac.

Information processed

Zoom account and meeting information

After you authorize ClearMeet, the app processes the basic Zoom profile information needed to identify the authorized account and meeting information needed to list, create and schedule that account’s meetings. OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored locally in the encrypted macOS Keychain.

Recordings and notes

Recordings are saved locally in your Movies/ClearMeet folder. Whiteboard notes, appearance preferences and locally saved feature ideas are stored on your Mac. ClearMeet does not upload this content to a developer-operated server.

Permissions

macOS manages Screen & System Audio Recording and Microphone permissions. ClearMeet uses them only when you start a local recording.

How information is used

Information is used only to provide the features you request: connecting your Zoom account, listing your scheduled meetings, creating or scheduling meetings, opening a meeting, recording locally and saving local notes.

Sharing and transfers

Zoom-related requests are sent directly to Zoom over HTTPS and are subject to Zoom’s privacy practices. ClearMeet does not sell personal information and does not share your local recordings or notes with advertisers or data brokers.

Retention and deletion

OAuth tokens remain in macOS Keychain until you choose Disconnect in ClearMeet, revoke the app in your Zoom account, or delete the relevant Keychain item. Recordings remain until you delete them from Movies/ClearMeet. Notes and preferences remain until you remove the app’s local data.

Detailed removal instructions are available in the Zoom connection and data deletion guide.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, and to data portability or withdrawal of consent. Because ClearMeet’s app data is stored locally, you can exercise many of these rights directly by disconnecting Zoom and deleting local files and app data. You may also contact us to exercise applicable rights or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Security

ClearMeet uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE, a loopback redirect bound to 127.0.0.1, state verification, HTTPS for Zoom API traffic, and macOS Keychain for tokens. ClearMeet never embeds a Zoom client secret in the application.

Children

ClearMeet is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law.
