Zoom-specific guide

Connect, use and remove ClearMeet

This guide explains how to add ClearMeet to Zoom, use its Zoom features, disconnect it and delete related data.

Add and connect

  1. Open ClearMeet on a Mac running macOS 15 or later.
  2. Select the gear button, then choose Connect Zoom.
  3. Your browser opens Zoom’s authorization page. Sign in to the Zoom account you want to use, review the requested permissions and authorize ClearMeet.
  4. Return to ClearMeet. The Zoom account status changes to Connected securely and scheduled meetings are refreshed.

Use Zoom features

Local features

Record captures the selected display, system audio and microphone after macOS permission. Files are saved in Movies/ClearMeet. Whiteboard stores notes locally on the Mac and lets you pin important notes to the top.

Disconnect and remove the app

  1. In ClearMeet, open Settings and choose Disconnect. This deletes the locally stored Zoom OAuth tokens from macOS Keychain and clears the current meeting list.
  2. To revoke access at Zoom as well, sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage → Added Apps, select ClearMeet and choose Remove.
  3. Delete recordings you no longer want from Movies/ClearMeet.
  4. To remove all remaining local notes and preferences, quit ClearMeet and delete its local application data, then move ClearMeet to Trash. Contact Carmen.graure@yahoo.com if you need help identifying the local data container for your installed build.

Permissions requested

ClearMeet requests the minimum Zoom permissions needed to read the authorized user’s basic profile, list that user’s scheduled meetings and create meetings. It does not request admin-level account access.
